Terms & Conditions

Welcome to EchoMe (“the App”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of EchoMe. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1) Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use EchoMe.
  • If you are under 18 (or under the age of majority in your region), you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

2) Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Harass, bully, threaten, or impersonate others.
  • Share illegal, explicit, hateful, or otherwise harmful content.
  • Use EchoMe for any unlawful purpose or to violate applicable laws.

3) Your Content & License

  • You retain ownership of audio you create (“echoes”).
  • You grant EchoMe a limited, revocable, worldwide license to process, transmit, and temporarily store your echoes for the sole purpose of delivering the service.
  • Echoes are designed to be ephemeral and are deleted after being heard or expired according to in-app rules and safeguards.

4) Privacy

We use Google Firebase services for authentication, messaging, crash reporting, and storage. We do not sell your personal data. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

5) Account Deletion & Data

You may delete your account at any time in the App:

  1. Open EchoMe → Settings
  2. Tap Delete My Account
  3. Confirm the prompt

When you delete your account, your profile, login credentials, and related data are removed. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

6) Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update the App or these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (e.g., in-app or by email). Continued use of EchoMe after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

7) Safety & Reporting

EchoMe has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and abusive behavior. Use the in-app reporting tools to report violations. We may remove content, suspend accounts, and notify authorities where required by law.

8) Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

EchoMe is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, EchoMe is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
